Today I want to say Happy Anniversary to Stephen! We have been married for four years, and in a way, it seems like our wedding was just yesterday, yet somehow it also seems like we've been together forever.
Stephen:
I know everyone says that they feel blessed to have the partner they've got, but you truly are my best friend and the most wonderful, loving, supportive husband ever. You're patient with me and rarely bring up my many faults! :) When we met, it didn't take me long to realize that you were everything I ever wanted, even if I didn't know until I met you exactly what it was that I wanted. I have such wonderful memories of our days in Aggieland, fabulous vacations, our wedding day, our adventure of a honeymoon in St Kitts, and learning the joys of home ownership and being newlyweds. I have so enjoyed watching you learn to be a father, and you are so great with Kemble, she's a lucky girl to have such a great daddy!
You are wonderful for taking such good care of our house, our cars, our finances, the yard, and most importantly: Kemble and I. You do things like kill spiders in the house, clean the toilets, take out the trash, get my holiday decorations down from the attic... because you know how much I hate things like that! Not to mention just last night even though it was 11 pm and we were so tired, you went to walmart to return the package of not-so-fresh chicken I bought yesterday so it wouldn't stink up our garage! You calm me down when I start to obsess over something that scares me when it shouldn't, and yeah, you roll your eyes sometimes, but I don't blame you! You let me sing out loud and don't make fun of how badly I sing (but you're probably just jealous that I know the actual words). Thanks for watching all my girly shows with me, and not getting (too) mad at me when I figure out the ending to a movie or show in the first half hour and ruin it for you. And you wait until I say something rude before you say something rude back, like how you really, really want me to clean up the office which has become my craft room invasion. :) In all seriousness, I'm proud of you for watching Kemble's birth without passing out! I survived on the strength you provided during the hardest time of my life: Kemble's NICU stay. I couldn't have done it without you. I love to watch Kemble's eyes light up when she sees you, it means she loves you as much as I do.
Thank you for being supportive of my decisions and ideas, even if they make life harder for you. I will always be thankful that you allow me to stay home with Kemble full time, even though it means that we have to sacrifice a lot to make ends meet right now. I love to laugh with you and I love our pillow talks. I could go on and on and on, but I really just want to say thank you for being you, because it's perfect. I promise to always strive to be the best wife that I can be, because you deserve it.
I love you! Here's to many, many more happy years full of memories! Happy Anniversary!
