Today was so much better than yesterday!! I was exhausted after the banana rash, then she was fussy and seemed to be refluxing all evening, then throughout the night she actually slept very soundly, however each time I woke up to check on her (on the video monitor), she had wriggled herself out of her covers, and was all sideways or upside down, with her legs hanging out of the slats in her crib. The bumpers went back on today! I hope she doesn't smush her face into them, but I don't think she will.
Anyway, today Stephen, Kemble and I went out to run a few errands. First we went to Walgreens to pick up the pictures I had printed. Then we went to find her some white shoes for Easter in the tiniest size available. The only place I have found white sandals in her size online is Payless, so that's where we went. I had ordered the MOST adorable pair of Lamour white sandals for her on ebay, but they are WAY too big! I'm hoping maybe later in the summer they will fit, but they definitely won't work for Easter! We ended up getting a pair of white eyelet mary janes, as well as the little white sandals we went looking for - partly because I just couldn't decide, and also partly because I thought if it ends up being chilly on Easter, as it so often seems to be, she could wear the mary janes with tights. Her feet are still so tiny, only a couple of pairs of her shoes fit her yet, and I'm dying for her to grow into them!! I still haven't decided which of her dresses I"m going to put her in for Easter, I don't know how I'll ever decide! She's got a pink floral smocked bishop dress, a kelly green dress with white polka dots, a hot pink dress with multi colored polka dots, and a white dress with yellow polka dots. They're all so springy and cute, I just can't decide!!

After that we went to World Market where I found the perfect Easter basket for her, and I also got some Easter goodies for her and an Easter tree for myself. I even had a $10 off $30 coupon, so we got $31 worth of Easter stuff for only $21! Can't beat that! By that time, she had fallen asleep so we went into TJMaxx to sort of keep the nap going, and we ended up with an adorable outfit for her that was on clearance for $10 for next fall. I resisted buying the cornflower blue Ralph Lauren bubble outfit. :(
Then we went to Chipotle and picked up lunch for Stephen and I, and we came home and enjoyed that and then played with Kemble for a while. After she went down for a very long nap, we played Boggle and Monopoly, while watching golf and basketball. We had a great, relaxing afternoon together. Stephen even picked up Pei Wei for dinner, one of my favorites!
We had a wonderful start to the weekend! Well, until I got home and saw these pictures on the computer and realized how fat I am and how badly I need to start doing something about it!!!! In fact, I wouldn't have even put it on here except for the fact that Kemble looks as precious as she ever has in this picture! I can't blame an ounce of it on Kemble either.... a week or so after her delivery I weighed exactly the same as I had before I got pregnant.... unfortunately it's 100% to blame on being a stay at home mom and snacking more and being less active than I used to be. Hopefully springtime will allow us to get out and about more. In the meantime, no more pictures of Mama!
Here are a few more pictures of Kemble over the last week or so:
Her new favorite place to be: her exersaucer... she's such a big girl in it!
Tummy time + Baby Einstein = Success!
Her second time to ride in her big girl stroller without the carseat... love the walks!
One of the prettiest, sunniest days she's ever seen!
(And the day she first rode in her stroller facing forward.... I just forgot to get a picture! I had her all bundled up in the hoodie and jeans because it was a little breezy, and I didn't realize until we got home 40 minutes later that she was a little sweaty under there! Oops!! I'm not used to this warm weather dressing for her yet!)
I hope everyone else is enjoying their weekend as much as we are!!
