And baby makes four!

It's 3 am and I am sitting wide awake in the hospital watching my sweet baby boy sleep! I'm sure my body would love for me to go to sleep knowing I probably have 2 hours before he wants to eat again...But I'm pretty sure that's just not going to happen! I jump at every little funny noise or move he makes, even though he's sleeping peacefully!

Graham was born at 6:13 pm today, March 11. He is as sweet as can be, smells so yummy, nurses pretty well so far (yay!) and loves to hear his daddy's voice-he will turn and look for him when he hears him. He also is already holding his head up for quite a while! Such a strong boy!
My blood pressure has been high so I've been on bedrest since last week. I drove myself to my regular appointment today....technically yesterday I guess... and it was up again, and then on the sono Graham wasn't moving at all and got a very low score on the biophysical profile, so Dr. Daum decided to induce me. Even though he said everything was probably just fine and he was just relaxing in there, I was nervous for my baby! He said at this point it was becoming more risky to his health to keep him in than to go ahead and let him come. I've been at a 4 for a week too, and mostly dilated, so contractions were likely to start very soon anyway. So at 3pm I came straight over to the hospital from my drs office, Stephen hurried here from work in Ennis and we called everyone else to come, then they started the pitocin. It was a super quick labor and delivery....but I'm not going to say it was easy...by the time the pain was strong enough for me to ask for my epidural, they came with a vengeance and I was screaming and almost in tears before they could insert it. I just don't remember them ever being that intense with Kemble. Actually right after he had it in I had the worst one yet and almost pulled the epidural back out again and got scolded by the anesthesiologist! After it kicked in, my nurse checked me because I kept telling her it felt like he was coming, and sure enough--he was! She called Dr Daum to tell him I was at a 10 and ready to have a baby! The doctor was here minutes later, followed by Graham just 3 good pushes and a few minutes later! It was glorious to just hold him and kiss him after his arrival. He was deemed perfectly healthy and given right back to me! He's 6 lbs 12 oz, 19 1/4 inches long, doing perfect, and so sweet!
Kemble was very scared at the first sight of me in the hospital, but after she met her baby brother, she was happy and proud-although still pretty overwhelmed! She loooved a gift from her sweet teacher Ms Becky, including a purple kitty cat. I don't even think she took two glances at the big sister bag full of fun that I made for her! Haha! Once she heard he was here, she said "My baby brother, Graham, is here! He just popped right out if my mommy's tummy!! POP!!" Then, after seeing him the first time she said "He is really real!!" What a sweet girl!
I feel so bad that most of our sweet family left before really meeting him but it was getting late by the time he got a bath, nursed, and i got all checked out to move to a room...and hopefully they can all see him very soon!!
The hospital is very breastfeeding friendly, they don't even take the baby to the nursery except briefly to have tests done a couple of times. They literally have just turned us lose with him, as if we have a clue what we are doing!! ;) A nurse comes in about every 2 hours to check on us, and that's it! Stephen is sleeping just fine on the couch, but I just can't let my eyes shut yet!
I'm so thankful for such a smooth, healthy delivery and so happy for my perfect little family! I can't wait to get him home!
