Storytelling by Kemble

Kemble was just playing library and took all the books off of our living room bookshelf to the couch to read them. (Why do I have a feeling I will be the one putting them all back?! Oh well, that shelf needed dusting anyway!)

She told me she was going to read me one of the stories (a novel of mine). So, I went to my computer and started dictating everything she said. Here's how it went... and these are absolute direct quotes!  I love her so much!!!!  I love how Rapunzel works her way into any storyline. By the way, we're taking her to see Rapunzel at Casa Manana tomorrow as another little big sister outing before Graham arrives, and she has no clue. She's going to LOOOVE IT!!!  I can't wait to see her face!

Dog Eating Food
Long ago there was a dog named Frankie.
And he lived with his grandma.
And he's going to eat all her food.
And grandma said "hahahaha, you ate all my food!"
And Frankie said "well I will make some more."
Grandma said "hahahaha, I just asked if you like that!"
And Rapunzel said "Let down your hair."
Rapunzel said "I'm going to make some more food for the dog and for you too."
Rapunzel asked his grandma.
And Rapunzel just wrapped her hair and pulled the dog up.
The end!

Kemble: "Mama, Do you actually like this story?"
{She's on an "actually" and "realize" kick lately... new big words for her!}
Me: "Yes I do and I'm writing it down"
Kemble: "OK, well I will read you another one."

The Dog Eating All the Backpacks and Food and Clothes
Sunny day it was at Grandma's again.
She said "Let's make some food for the dog."
And the dog said "hahahaha"
"Funkle Feeky {the dog, I had to ask for clarification there}do you have any things I like?" Rapunzel asked.
"No, I just have some little bit of food." He said.
"Well, I have some cheese, do you want my cheese?" Tangled asked.
"Sure" his grandma said.
"Well you can have one piece at a time." said Tangled.
Then, what happened to Tangled? She was a grandma too!

Dog With Tangled
Good morning. It was a sunny day.
Tangled and the dog visit at their house, and Grandma stayed home and he said "How you been?" and Grandma said "Good."
And what happened to Tangled and the dog? They were Grandmas too!

Three Honey Bears
Three honey bees had a very difficult case of honey. A baby.
Long ago, Rapunzel said "Let down your hair."
Kemble: long pause
Me: "Is this story about bears or bees or babies?"
Kemble: "I think it's about cats."
Me: "Are you going to finish your story?"
Long ago..... Long ago he said, "oh no I don't want to read the stories anymore" and Rapunzel said "The end".
