First, it was "Rapunzel hair" and she always wanted a braid. Luckily, since she didn't have much hair at the time, she was perfectly happy with just braiding the small section of hair I'd normally just put in a rubberband for a bow. One day she said "no I want it like Callianne's" which is in 2 long pigtail braids. Unfortunately, I was afraid she looked a little more like Snoop Dogg than Callianne, her little hair is so fine. She was so proud of it, but I just had to laugh every time I saw it. (Although looking at this picture, it doesn't look as bad as I felt like it did on that day... so that's good!)
For a while, she insisted on it being down, and I could barely get her to agree to a small part pulled back with a bow. Sometimes, she'd insist upon a headband instead. If she's in her Cinderella dress, she wants a bun on top of her head. She also went through a dog ear phase, aka "two ponytails"
Lately, it's ponytails. At first, it had to be a regular ponytail in the back. The past week or so I've been doing side ponytails and she loves it because she can see the ponytail, something that always bothered her before that she had to just trust me it was back there.
Yesterday she asked for a braid AND a ponytail, so I french braided part of it down into where I pulled the rest into a side ponytail. SUPER cute! She looks like such a big girl with her hair all pulled back.
Last weekend, we were heading out and I'd just fixed her hair (side ponytail) and gotten into the perfect ponytail. Stephen came in and swooped her up and she screamed "NO DADDY! DON'T MESS UP MY HAIR!!!!" It was so funny, we laughed and laughed. She has said something to the same effect several times since then.
My sweet girl is obsessed with her hair just like her Mama :)
